Melanie Ashdown

Mel has worked on a number of major healthcare programmes across London. This includes Healthcare for London at NHS London, setting up Commissioning Support for London, piloting medical revalidation, supporting the merger of Barts Health, the south west London acute hospital reconfiguration programme and working with Health Education England to establish Training Hubs in primary care. Most recently working to support Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to access Training Hub support.

Key areas: PCN support, SWL Fellowships, SWL GP Retention, SWL GP Resilience, PCN recruitment


Elizabeth Canales

Elizabeth joined Aim Solutions to support the day to day operations and running of our work programmes. Elizabeth is a Project Manager with experience working with the Royal Colleges as well as dental curriculum.


Ali Epton

Ali is our resident General Practice Nurse and focuses on projects relating to nurses and allied health professionals. This includes career pathway development of new and existing staff and CPD planning. Ali takes an active role working with other nurse leads across south west London to promote the role of the primary care nurse as well as student nurse placements. Ali is supporting the development of the concept of the learning environment across PCNs.


Victoria Kent

Victoria graduated with an MSc in Public Health & Nutrition and joins us in a dual role supporting both the Wandsworth Training Hub and HEE.

Tessa Shields

Tessa provides project management support across our full portfolio of client work.  Specialising in education & training, Tessa brings a wealth of experience with her as well as exceptional organisation skills.

Katie Bayfield

Dr Katie Bayfield

Katie has a PhD in respiratory medicine from Imperial College London and has since led research projects within the NIHR Manchester clinical research facility and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney. Katie is passionate about healthcare education as a way to support primary care workforce retention.

Nick Maree

With extensive experience in commercial management across engineering and construction industries, Nick ensures robust governance and sound contract management for us and our clients. His experience is underpinned with formal post- grad education in contract law.

Key areas: contract management, negotiation, disputes, performance and mitigation.

India oversees delivery across our full portfolio of work, specialising in Training Hubs. Having started her career at Health Education England, India brings specialist knowledge and experience to primary care workforce projects.

Urooj Khan

Clinical placements for learners in primary care plays a pivotal role in providing our future workforce with the opportunity to experience working in primary care. 

Urooj supports the placement capacity expansion programme across South West London for the Training Hubs. 


Sam Metcalf

As a well respected, experienced Practice Manager, Sam provides advisory support across our full portfolio of work. 

Key areas: placements, PCN and practice communication and project work.


Avinu Higgins

Avinu supports accounts & bookkeeping functions for our clients. This includes managing supplier information, processing invoices and payments, tracking and reporting across a variety of project portfolios.


Rebecca Cripps

Becky is a recent graduate who is currently studying Bioscience Entrepreneurship MSc at UCL. Her previous work in a GP surgery has inspired her to join our team to learn more about using innovative approaches to promote workforce development in the NHS, particularly within primary care. Becky provides project support to our team, primarily in the area of training organisation & co-ordination.


Rebecca Hill

Rebecca helps manage and update our client websites. With an analytical approach to work, Rebecca helps develop training needs analysis and analyse data. Rebecca also offers flexible resourcing to the team as needed to flex up and down according to our clients needs.

Key areas: data capture and analysis, website maintenance, training administration.


Jaime Perkins

Jaime supports our specialist primary and community care IT projects. With over 10 years’ IT experience he has recently supported the SWL resilience programme, EMIS, SystemOne GP & community project roll-out.
